What a Real Tune-Up Includes (And What a $49 Special Doesn't)

A precision tune-up is a measurement appointment. If nobody wrote down numbers, you did not get one.

Ours documents refrigerant subcooling and superheat, delivered capacity, temperature split, static pressure across the coil and filter, amp draw on every motor, capacitor microfarads against rated value, combustion analysis on gas equipment, and drain performance under load.

Those numbers matter because they trend. A capacitor at 82% of rated value is not a failure today, but it tells us to replace it in the fall instead of on the hottest night of the year.

A cheap special typically includes a filter change, a coil rinse and a sales conversation. Nothing wrong with any of that — it just is not maintenance, and it will not satisfy your manufacturer warranty requirements.
